The Beginning of Wisdom looks at the Bible's influence on education in early America showing that education at all levels was thoroughly Christian. Viewers will discover that education for the masses was a Christian invention with schools started primarily so that children could read the Bible for themselves. All the original Ivy League schools, Harvard, William and Mary, Yale, Princeton, and others were founded by Christians for Christian purposes. One scholar notes that all the founding fathers (even the few skeptics) "knew the Bible down to their fingertips."
