In the Ouachita National Forest, south of Mena is a 31-mile long interconnecting trail system that's tailor-made for ATV's. The Wolf Pen Gap ATV Complex is one of the more popular trail systems of its kind, attracting 10,000 users annually from a four-state area. For hiking and mountain biking, the first five miles of the Lake Ouachita Vista Trail near Mount Ida, have recently been completed. When it is finally finished, the system will contain some 40 miles of trails.
