Buffalo River Hiking Trail/ Pedestal Rocks /Richland Falls - Twin Falls #202

ATV1 - MAIN

Description

Hiking the Natural State is basically the theme of this episode. The Buffalo River Hiking Trail is first featured. The trailhead is located in Historic Boxley Valley in the upper portion of the Buffalo National River. Hiking the trail takes you to some of the most breathtaking views high atop the bluffs overlooking Americas first national river. Also, in the heart of the Ozarks near the town of Pelsor- 320 million years in the making, unusual rock formations known as Pedestal Rocks, resemble huge towering pedestals and offer a glimpse into the ancient geology of this region. The third hike in the program takes viewers to one of the most remote and picturesque areas of the United States, where many have referred to as resembling the Garden of Eden. Deep in the Ozark National Forest, the Richland Creek Wilderness Area encompasses Richland Falls and Twin Falls, which do indeed offer a paradise-type setting. Arkansas Parks & Tourism photographer Chuck Haralson hikes along and offers a few professional waterfall photographing tips.
