Segment 1 Topic: America250: The American Revolution As we commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, two historians sit down with host Steve Barnes, Dr. Vaughn Scriber for the University of Central Arkansas and Dr. Tom DeBlack former professor for Arkansas Tech University to provide a brief history lesson on the American Revolution and how we came to be a nation. Segment 2 Topic: Arkansas250 Members of the Arkansas 250 Commission visited the program to talk about how the state is celebrating the 250th Anniversary of America. Secretary Shea Lewis and Dr. Ken Warden share information about activities, educational resources for teacher and students, programs and initiatives to help commemorate the year-long event. Segment 3 Topic: Transcribe-a-Thons Steve speaks with Arkansas TV Youth Engagement Coordinator Bella Kerby about how to connect and encourage young people to know our history.
