The crimes chronicled in this episode include: SOVIET UNION SERIAL KILLERS: One of the Soviet Union's most feared serial killers, Nikolai Dzhumagalieu (aka Metal Fang), was also cannibalistic. The late 1980's and early 1990's saw many disturbed serial killers on the prowl, including Andrei Chikatilo and Sergei Ryakhovsky, causing fear amongst the community. Some killers were never identified, some were tried and executed and some are currently serving out a life sentence. QUEEN OF MEAN: Self-made millionaire Leona Helmsley was publicly denounced after massive tax fraud and terrible personal accounts of abuse and mistreatment towards her personal staff. After serving a small amount of her intended jail time, Helmsley turned into a recluse. Upon her death in 2007, she left a 12-million dollar trust to her dog. MARDI GRAS BOMBER: London was hit by a spate of mystery bombings between 1994 and 1999, attributed to someone nick named the "Mardi Gra Bomber"; it was eventually revealed to be 61-year-old Edgar Pierce. COMPUTER CRIME: Internet hacker Kevin Mitrick was one of the first to expose the Internet's security flaws by allegedly hacking into the Pentagon and the FBI's files. TED BUNDY: A good-looking law student, volunteer and a worker for the Republican Party, Ted Bundy went on a killing rampage of more than 30 women over 4 years that spanned multiple states. He was convicted and executed in 1989. COURTNEY LOVE: The troubled rock star and widow of Kurt Cobain has lived a controversial life - often finding herself in the media spotlight for drug, assault and misdemeanor charges.
