One of the world's favorite actors in action movies, Harrison Ford has been entertaining audiences for decades with his charm and unique blend of strength and sensitivity. His remarkable range has allowed him to play tough action heroes like Indiana Jones and Han Solo with a measure of humor and insecurity thrown in; then switch to dramatic characters, such as those he played in "Presumed Innocent" and "Regarding Henry." With such talent, it'll be surprising for fans to learn that Ford fell into acting almost by accident since it was not his main agenda when taking drama classes.

When "I Should Be So Lucky" hit Number One on the British singles charts, Australian Kylie Minogue was known mainly for her role as Charlene Mitchell on the hit soap opera, "Neighbours." Her debut single "Locomotion" was a smash hit in Australia, but her follow-up single made her an international sensation. In the last two decades she's shown that she is both hard working and professional, and she has held the public's interest by constantly changing not only her look but her sound; going from pop songs penned by Stock, Aitken and Waterman, to love songs and catchy dance hits like "Can't Get You Out of My Head." Her career always took precedence, and her love-life suffered as a result; however, a much publicized battle with breast cancer gave her a new outlook on life, and forced her to re-evaluate relationships that were just not working, not only in her personal life, but also professionally.

QUEEN OF MEAN: Self-made millionaire Leona Helmsley was publicly denounced after massive tax fraud and terrible personal accounts of abuse and mistreatment towards her personal staff. After serving a small amount of her intended jail time, Helmsley turned into a recluse. Upon her death in 2007, she left a 12-million dollar trust to her dog. MARDI GRAS BOMBER: London was hit by a spate of mystery bombings between 1994 and 1999, attributed to someone nick named the "Mardi Gra Bomber"; it was eventually revealed to be 61-year-old Edgar Pierce. 50 Cent is an American rapper, entrepreneur, investor, and actor, whose rise to fame and fortune is an incredible story. Born Curtis James Jackson III on July 6, 1975, in a very poor and dangerous neighborhood in Queens, NY, his mother, Sabrina, was only 15 at the time of his birth; sadly, she reverted to dealing drugs to support her child and was mysteriously murdered when the boy was only eight. Curtis moved in with his grandparents, but spent most of his remaining youth dealing drugs, which made him a lot of money, but also landed him in jail, where his dream about making a career in music was born. After his release, he adopted his stage name "50 Cent" to reflect the change he was making with his life, and he began to record original Rap music. Somehow in 2000, he survived being shot nine times; then through sheer determination, he continued to record and in 2002 he collaborated with rappers Eminem and Dr. Dre to rapidly rise to fame with the release in 2003 of his album, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," which has been certified platinum eight times, and "The Massacre," in 2005. Arising from a life of drugs and crime to become one of the biggest artists on the planet, his journey, as we see here, is an inspiration.
From the age of 12 when she burst onto the scene in Disney's "Mickey Mouse Club," Britney Spears has never been far from the spotlight. The American girl next door had her first big hit at the age of 17, and it seemed that everything she touched turned to gold. However, when she and boyfriend Justin Timberlake split up, she responded with a drug and alcohol-fuelled bender in Las Vegas, culminating in a 55-hour marriage to childhood friend, Jason Alexander. Her second marriage to back-up dancer Kevin Federline may have produced two sons, but was flawed from the beginning. Hounded by the media and dealing with a broken heart and the responsibility of two young children contributed to Britney's downward spiral and a custody battle ensued. Britney's behavior became increasingly erratic, and her antics led to her losing custody of her children. So it is a tribute to Britney Spears, former child star and pop icon, that she could rise from the ashes of her ruined marriage and bizarre behavior circa 2007 and release an album that received rave reviews and revived her ailing career. Her family, friends, and fans all hope that Britney can keep pushing boundaries in her music career instead of in her personal life.

The year 1950 was a pivotal year for innovations in air travel, marking the start of the Jet age after the invention of the jet engine by Frank Whittle some nine years earlier. Airlines began to spring up everywhere, catering to the demands of passengers wanting to go just about anywhere, but the flights were domestic only at the time. Pre-war travel was sold as a luxury experience afforded only by the rich, but post war, the emphasis was on comfort and customer service for both the rich and middle class. However air travel was still out of reach for those on a low income. Speed was the key, getting passengers from New York to London or Paris in six and a half to seven hours was the various airlines' biggest coup.
