An actor whose Hawaiian name means "cool breeze over the mountain," Keanu Reeves is part English, Hawaiian and Chinese, but he was born in Lebanon. Inscrutable, handsome and very private, he has let his films do the talking for him, choosing a mix of blockbusters, such as "Speed" and the "Matrix" trilogy with smaller, independent films with an edge, such as "Feeling Minnesota" and "Constantine." Early in his career he veered between comedy ("Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure") and action ("Chain Reaction"). Occasionally criticized for his "wooden" acting, Keanu nevertheless has forged on, defying his critics time and time again, not so much for his acting chops, but for his choice of films, most notably "The Matrix."

This biographical profile looks back at the meteoric rise to fame of Beyonce, the former Destiny's Child star, who admits that life as a solo artist has been pretty good. She credits her family for keeping her grounded; and despite the trappings of fame, is grateful to have a life outside of being a pop star. Born in Houston, Texas, in 1981, she began winning talent contests at the tender age of seven. Her salesman father, Matthew, had so much faith in his daughter's singing ability that he left his job with its six-figure salary to manage her career full time. Destiny's Child, the group made up of Beyonce and her two close friends, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, hit the big time in 1997, and became the biggest selling girl group of all time in 2004. Since then, Beyonce has carved out a career on her own, both in music, as well as acting in movies such as "Dream Girls," and it's obvious there's much more to come from Ms. Beyonce Knowles.
The crimes chronicled in this episode include: LINDBERGH KIDNAPPING: Aviation pioneer Charles Lindbergh and his wife, Anne Morrow, suffered a parent's worst nightmare when their son, Charles, Jr., was kidnapped for a ransom and later found dead. BOY GEORGE: In October 2005, Culture Club's Boy George was charged with Cocaine possession, and sentenced to 5 days community service. JOHN F. KENNEDY ASSASSINATION: November 22, 1963, saw the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, by Lee Harvey Oswald. SNOOP DOGG: Rapper "Snoop Dogg" has often found himself on the wrong side of the law with drug, rape and gun possession charges filed against him over the course of his career. ANTHRAX ATTACK: A deliberately anthrax-infected letter in 2001 killed American media photo editor Robert Stevens - two postal workers also died a couple of weeks later as a result of anthrax infection. LIZZIE BORDEN: For more than a century, controversy has surrounded the deaths of Andrew and Abbey Borden by multiple axe wounds, with Andrew's daughter, Lizzie, being the prime suspect.
She's won numerous Grammys, sold over 120 million records, appeared in seven films, and headlined solo world tours, but Beyonce, former member of girl group "Destiny's Child," still gets excited about new challenges. Born Beyonce Gisele Knowles in Houston, Texas, in 1981, she took dance and singing classes to overcome shyness, but it soon become obvious to everyone that she could belt out a tune. By the age of seven she was winning talent competitions, and at fifteen formed "Destiny's Child" with best friend Kelly Rowland. In June, 2005, the trio called it quits so they could pursue individual goals. Beyonce has done this with irrepressible style, dipping her toes into cinema, as well as producing the follow-up to her debut solo album. Her third solo album shows the two halves of her personality: the stage persona she calls "Sasha Fierce" in contrast with her quieter, more introspective side. Hard-working, modest, and likable, Beyonce is passionate about what she does, and that passion shows in her performances.
Shirley MacLaine's love of the theater began at a very early age. Her ballet training and long-legged pixie charm led her to rapid success on Broadway in musical comedy. Inevitably, Hollywood called and by 1955 Shirley was cast in Alfred Hitchcock's The Trouble With Harry. The program includes interviews with Nicolas Cage, Jack Lemmon, John Forsythe, Robert Wise, Herbert Ross and Robert Harling.
