Leslie takes us to Medieval Europe overlooking the Hudson River in Manhattan. We learn about its fascinating history, architecture and art objects including the world famous Unicorn Tapestries. We visit the medieval gardens and take a Behind the Scenes look at the horticultural area to learn about remedies, dyes and plant preservation.
NEIL ARMSTRONG - Inspired by his first flight at the age of six, Armstrong later attended Purdue University, studying aeronautical engineering. He wasn't there long. In 1949, the U.S. Navy called him to active duty as an aviator. Armstrong continued to fly until 1952. ANITA RODDICK - This wartime baby grew up to fight on many fronts - not with bombs and bullets, but with body butters and cosmetics. The founder of the Body Shop, Dame Anita Roddick was one of the few business entrepreneurs who really made a difference. CHARLIE CHAPLIN - Charlie Chaplin, the screen's most famous clown, was born in London in 1889. His vaudeville parents battled unemployment and the bottle and Charlie experienced poverty and hunger, experiences that later found their way into his classic films. VIVIENNE WESTWOOD - In 2007, fashion designer and self-styled queen of punk, Vivienne Westwood was voted one of Britain's living icons. ABDUL NASSER - PART 1 - The future Egyptian President was obsessed with politics at a young age, but rejected Wafdism and socialism, seeking a political ideology that fit Arab culture and aspirations.
Cameron Diaz was thrown into the spotlight at the age of 16, when working as a fashion model she graced the covers of seventeen magazines in two years. At 22 she auditioned for and won a role in "The Mask" with Jim Carrey. Then, proving she was no one-hit wonder, appeared in ten movies over the next four years, including "Feeling Minnesota" with Keanu Reeves, "There's Something about Mary" and "My Best Friend's Wedding". In 2000 she became the second woman ever to receive a 20-million dollar salary, starring in the big screen adaptation of the 70's TV hit "Charlie's Angels," which also starred Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu. We also discover how she loved getting the opportunity to be the voice of Princess Fiona in the "Shrek" movies.

Plus, Shawn will meet a licensed cruise agent and see why she loves working with her clients to ensure they have a great cruise experience. She'll also talk about some of the perks of her job. Then for you pet lovers, Alecsa will visit an animal shelter and talk with an animal care officer to learn about his duties and what his favorite part of the job is.

We're going to set sail to the land of the Norseman and explore Oslo on this episode of Travel Thru History and cross the Atlantic like legendary Viking explorers charting a course to a land of impossible beauty, intrigue and tall tales. First, we'll set sail with the ancient Viking ships unearthed from their burial grounds at the Viking Ship Museum. We'll learn how the ancient Norseman, known as the Vikings, used their expert shipbuilding skills to construct vessels that crossed the Atlantic in search of new lands. Next, we defend the castle at Akershus (ack er shuss) and visit the fortress constructed to guard the Oslo fjords against attacks from any invading hordes. You'll wander the very same great halls King Christian IV roamed thousands of years ago. At the Fram museum you'll learn about the famous ship who's hull crushed an ice trail to both the North and the South Poles. Hear the history behind the amazing polar race where the winner goes on to infamy and the loser doesn't come home. Finally we'll brave the open waters of the Pacific with Thor Heyerdahl at the Kon-tiki museum.

This episode opens with he uplands of Chiang Mai and the river delta around Bangkok. The ancient capital of Ayutthaya which basks in the reflected glory of its past, offers some of the most fabulous ancient ruins in Asia. It is a land of hill tribes clinging to their traditions, villages made of thatched huts where children and chickens run about freely, a land of forests streams and paddy field. The fragrant aroma of ginger, lemon grass, galangal and coconut fills the air. Rice paddies provide the staple food, accompanied by vegetables, fruit and meat. Thanks to Buddhism, the colorful people are smiling, graceful and contented, a beautiful people living in a unique country.

Mrs. Drysdale wants to get rid of the Clampetts before the arrival of Mrs. Smith-Standish, the head of a 'first family' historical society. But Mrs. Smith-Standish goes to the Clampetts' first and becomes enchanted with their antiques and way of life, even to roping the horrified Mrs. Drysdale into helping do the chores the old-fashioned way.
It centers around Barney and the decision to spend his life's savings($300)on a used car. Of course the car is a supposed one owner, pampered cream-puff that has been "handled with kid gloves". And the car owner is a supposed recently widowed "little old lady" who's husband also happened to be named Bernard.
Inspector Leduque comes from New Orleans to Virginia City to take Ben Cartwright back for a 20 year murder. When Ben declares publicly that he is withdrawing from the Governor's race, the townsfolk are upset not just about this but Little Joe has also been accused of gunning down Leduque's deputy in cold blood.
About to set out on a cattle drive, Ben hires a young drifter named Sam Jackson as one of his drovers.
