Nate Gadol is a great big spirit with eyes as shiny as golden coins and a smile that is lantern bright. He can make anything last as long as it is needed, like a tiny bit of oil that must stretch for eight nights, a flower that needs to stay fresh to cheer up someone ailing, or a small lump of chocolate that grows to allow the Glasers to treat their children over the holiday and, during a harsh winter when medicine is needed more than sweets, spurs them to share what little they have with the O'Malleys. This charming holiday hybrid story offers a mythical, magical take on the way Jewish families came to give and receive gifts over Hanukkah, just as their Christian neighbors do at Christmas, thanks to a loving spirit working behind the scenes-together with a certain jolly old soul!

As the gang from Disney's extremely popular High School Musical franchise prepare to graduate in the movie, "High School Musical 3," tweenies everywhere wonder what's to become of the actors that brought their favorite characters to life. This bio charts the rise of Zac Efron, from a school kid who had to chase girls to get them to go out with him, to the heart throb he is today, adored by millions of fans around the world. From the moment it was broadcast, "HSM" was a hit, propelling Efron, his co-star and girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, and the rest of the cast into the stratosphere. Soundtracks and sequels followed, and merchandise sales soared. Efron didn't stop at "HSM," however, joining the cast of the film "Hairspray." That movie was a hit, ensuring that Zac had a career outside of the franchise. At the premiere of "High School Musical 3," Zac and Vanessa told reporters they hoped that teens could relate to their characters' trials and tribulations in high school. For Efron, Hudgens, and the rest of the cast, however, it's off to the next challenge: establishing a career after "graduation."
50 Cent is an American rapper, entrepreneur, investor, and actor, whose rise to fame and fortune is an incredible story. Born Curtis James Jackson III on July 6, 1975, in a very poor and dangerous neighborhood in Queens, NY, his mother, Sabrina, was only 15 at the time of his birth; sadly, she reverted to dealing drugs to support her child and was mysteriously murdered when the boy was only eight. Curtis moved in with his grandparents, but spent most of his remaining youth dealing drugs, which made him a lot of money, but also landed him in jail, where his dream about making a career in music was born. After his release, he adopted his stage name "50 Cent" to reflect the change he was making with his life, and he began to record original Rap music. Somehow in 2000, he survived being shot nine times; then through sheer determination, he continued to record and in 2002 he collaborated with rappers Eminem and Dr. Dre to rapidly rise to fame with the release in 2003 of his album, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," which has been certified platinum eight times, and "The Massacre," in 2005. Arising from a life of drugs and crime to become one of the biggest artists on the planet, his journey, as we see here, is an inspiration.
The year 1950 was a pivotal year for innovations in air travel, marking the start of the Jet age after the invention of the jet engine by Frank Whittle some nine years earlier. Airlines began to spring up everywhere, catering to the demands of passengers wanting to go just about anywhere, but the flights were domestic only at the time. Pre-war travel was sold as a luxury experience afforded only by the rich, but post war, the emphasis was on comfort and customer service for both the rich and middle class. However air travel was still out of reach for those on a low income. Speed was the key, getting passengers from New York to London or Paris in six and a half to seven hours was the various airlines' biggest coup.
Love him or hate him, there's no doubt that everyone has an opinion on Tom Cruise. After his split from Nicole Kidman in 2001, he didn't do himself any favors by quickly hooking up with Vanilla Sky co-star Penelope Cruz, which many say made him look insensitive in the wake of such a public divorce. Adding to that fire, his dedication to the controversial religion Scientology, and his relationship and subsequent marriage to a much younger Katie Holmes, which inspired the famous "couch-jumping" moment on Oprah, fueled more controversy about the star. However, whatever you think of him, you can't deny that Tom Cruise is a superstar and has had a great run at the box office over the years, with hits like "Rain Man," "Born on the Fourth of July," "Mission Impossible," "Jerry Maguire" and "Interview with a Vampire."
