This program offers a biographical profile of Miley Cyrus up to the time of her meeting her former boyfriend, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. Miley credits the support of her close family and friends for allowing her to pursue a TV, movie and singing career while still in her early teens. Without that supportive network she says she would have gone crazy, and could have ended up like so many other child stars, washed up, with a drug or alcohol addiction, constantly on the wrong side of the law. Her father, nineties' country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus, acts as her business manager, and also starred alongside his daughter in her Disney TV series, "Hannah Montana" - as her father. Miley broke free of her Hannah persona with her solo album, "Breakout," which she wrote several songs for, and then starred in "The Last Song," the movie in which she met Liam Hemsworth.
