Louis Braille was just five years old when he lost his sight. He was a clever boy, determined to live like everyone else, and what he wanted more than anything was to be able to read. But even at the school for the blind in Paris, there were no books for him. And so he invented his own alphabet-a whole new system for writing that could be read by touch-a system so ingenious that it is still used by the blind community today. Award-winning writer Jen Bryant tells Braille's inspiring story with a lively and accessible text that's filled with the sounds, smells, and touch of Louis's world. Boris Kulikov's inspired paintings help viewers understand what Louis lost and what he was determined to gain back through books.

Audrey Hepburn remains an enduring icon of elegance and taste, whether through her famous films "Breakfast at Tiffany's," "Roman Holiday," and "My Fair Lady"; or through her various charities, which she supported right up until her death from colon cancer in 1993. In many ways, her story reads like a fairy tale. She was born in Brussels, Belgium, on the 4th of May, 1929, into a well-to-do family with aristocratic connections. She studied ballet before moving into acting where, seemingly overnight, the young girl from the chorus line became an award winning screen star and a worldwide sensation. As in most fairy tales, Audrey's story had a dark side. Her father left the family and her mother moved them to Holland in the early 1930s as Europe was besieged by Hitler's Germany. The horrors of war stayed with Audrey, and she used her experiences to help others in need through her charity work for UNICEF. In the end, she was as well-known for her compassion as she was for her creative spirit.
The first air fields were more concerned with utility than comfort. In the early years, tents were the only amenities set up for enthusiastic crows who flocked to watch aviators' exploits. During the war, open fields provided a runaway, and hangars stored maintenance gear and airplanes. The first passengers became used to enduring the elements as they walk out to their flight. As the popularity of air transport increased, cities recognized the need to provide better service to passengers, and airports grew in design, to become the hub of activity and convenience they are today. Some include post offices, as well as restaurant, and even hotel on site.
This program offers a biographical profile of Miley Cyrus up to the time of her meeting her former boyfriend, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. Miley credits the support of her close family and friends for allowing her to pursue a TV, movie and singing career while still in her early teens. Without that supportive network she says she would have gone crazy, and could have ended up like so many other child stars, washed up, with a drug or alcohol addiction, constantly on the wrong side of the law. Her father, nineties' country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus, acts as her business manager, and also starred alongside his daughter in her Disney TV series, "Hannah Montana" - as her father. Miley broke free of her Hannah persona with her solo album, "Breakout," which she wrote several songs for, and then starred in "The Last Song," the movie in which she met Liam Hemsworth.
