First seen as the tomboyish Jules in "Bend it Like Beckham," Keira Knightley has risen through the ranks to become one of the highest paid British actresses in Hollywood, according to Forbes Magazine. Her fine-boned, thin frame has allowed her to take time in evolving from playing girls on the brink of womanhood to more adult roles, such as that of Cecilia in "Atonement." Worth noting is one of Knightley's early roles was as the "decoy" for Princess Amidala, played by look-alike-actress Natalie Portman, in "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace."

Hollywood heartthrob Johnny Depp has made a career of playing some strange characters, including Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Raul Duke and Donnie Brasco; all of which brought him critical acclaim, but little commercial success. Due to an early decision in his career to only play roles that pleased him, Johnny turned down parts in blockbuster films such as "Titanic," "The Matrix" and "Speed." Then, in 2003, Johnny agreed to pay the role of the slurring, lecherous Captain Jack Sparrow in the "Pirates of the Caribbean," which turned out to be a box office bonanza, generating 653-million dollars worth of treasure and earning him his first Academy Award nomination for the character he said he based his performance on the Rolling Stones' famous guitarist, Keith Richards.
World renowned producer, record label executive, fashion mogul and philanthropist, Jay-Z has one more title to his name - the husband of singer Beyonce. Retiring from his own rap career in 2003 due to having said everything he wanted to say as a recording artist he set his talents to work helping others ignite their careers in the field. Originally christened Sean Carter, he grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and after being abandoned by his father and dabbling in drugs, life was not too promising for the young aspiring rapper. Luckily, though, fate had other ideas, and his talents gave him inspiration to focus on a life in music, his only ticket out of the crime-ridden neighborhood. After starting independent label Rockerfeller Records, he released his debut effort "Reasonable Doubt" to rave reviews.Ten years later he launched his "coming out of retirement" tour, aiming to go where he'd hadn't gone before to take hip-hop to a broader audience. Today, he remains one of the world's most popular hip hop artists.
50 Cent is an American rapper, entrepreneur, investor, and actor, whose rise to fame and fortune is an incredible story. Born Curtis James Jackson III on July 6, 1975, in a very poor and dangerous neighborhood in Queens, NY, his mother, Sabrina, was only 15 at the time of his birth; sadly, she reverted to dealing drugs to support her child and was mysteriously murdered when the boy was only eight. Curtis moved in with his grandparents, but spent most of his remaining youth dealing drugs, which made him a lot of money, but also landed him in jail, where his dream about making a career in music was born. After his release, he adopted his stage name "50 Cent" to reflect the change he was making with his life, and he began to record original Rap music. Somehow in 2000, he survived being shot nine times; then through sheer determination, he continued to record and in 2002 he collaborated with rappers Eminem and Dr. Dre to rapidly rise to fame with the release in 2003 of his album, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," which has been certified platinum eight times, and "The Massacre," in 2005. Arising from a life of drugs and crime to become one of the biggest artists on the planet, his journey, as we see here, is an inspiration.
