WOOD ENERGY, ELECTRONIC WASTE SCULPTURE - We take a look at recycling prunings into wood chips. CHOPSTICKS - China's Ginghaua University designed and replaced throw-away chopsticks with recyclable spoons. FRIDGE RECYCLING PLANT - A UK firm started a reprocessing facility to disassemble old refrigerators safely and recycle them into reusable blocks or briquette. KENYA CHARCOAL - In Kaskeyu, women living there have been recycling natural minerals that they would normally throw away into briquettes for burning. TURNING WASTE INTO SOMETHING POSITIVE - British Cardiff University-based researchers conduct experiments into generating compost from municipal waste. FROM PAPER TO PEAT - University of Warwick has discovered a by-product of paper (fibers) that normally would go to the dump is being recycled into plant compost.

Dr. Augustin, a.k.a "Duke," was born in Montreal Canada and moved to Florida with his parents when he was seven years old, speaking only French and Haitian Creole. An avid athlete, Duke was offered 16 division 1 football scholarships to attend Villanova University, where he went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Communications. He began his teaching career in 2002 while continuing his education at Nova Southeastern University, and ultimately earning his PhD from Florida Atlantic University. Guests: Ducarmel Augustin, PhD.
