From the age of 12 when she burst onto the scene in Disney's "Mickey Mouse Club," Britney Spears has never been far from the spotlight. The American girl next door had her first big hit at the age of 17, and it seemed that everything she touched turned to gold. However, when she and boyfriend Justin Timberlake split up, she responded with a drug and alcohol-fuelled bender in Las Vegas, culminating in a 55-hour marriage to childhood friend, Jason Alexander. Her second marriage to back-up dancer Kevin Federline may have produced two sons, but was flawed from the beginning. Hounded by the media and dealing with a broken heart and the responsibility of two young children contributed to Britney's downward spiral and a custody battle ensued. Britney's behavior became increasingly erratic, and her antics led to her losing custody of her children. So it is a tribute to Britney Spears, former child star and pop icon, that she could rise from the ashes of her ruined marriage and bizarre behavior circa 2007 and release an album that received rave reviews and revived her ailing career. Her family, friends, and fans all hope that Britney can keep pushing boundaries in her music career instead of in her personal life.

The very first airplanes were purely land-based. It soon became apparent that planes would need to be able to fly over water in order to transport passengers and cargo effectively. Seaplane development went from strength to strength, with Seaplanes becoming the largest aircraft in the world by the end of the First World War. Seaplanes continued to be an extremely popular mode of transportation.
It's hard to believe that Angelina Jolie was denied a modeling career at the age of 14 and now is known as one of the most beautiful women in the world, but that too reflects the type of non-quit attitude she embodies. Today, no one can deny the actress' tireless dedication to humanitarian work, her loyalty to her ever expanding family, and her relationship with Brad Pitt have propelled her to a level of influence recognized throughout the world.
