Inside, master carpenter Norm Abram and lead carpenter Colin Paterson are adding some period charm to the bay window area by installing custom casings and paneling. The house's existing plaster ceiling medallions were beyond repair, so Norm brings back preservation plasterer Rory Brennan to replicate them on site. Fortunately, the originals were nearly identical to the medallions from the Charlestown project years ago, so Rory mixes up some plaster and pours a new medallion from the Charlestown mold. Afterward, they install a completed casting in the front parlor. At the end of the day, the fence is nearly complete and the sod is finished, thanks to our group of intrepid apprentices.

When a forest fire comes to woods not far from the family nest at Pteranodon Terrace, the family takes the Dinosaur Train to visit a nearby area where a fire has already been, and the Conductor leads the kids on a Nature Tracker hike through the woods to see how new life is growing back - even after the forest fire's devastation. Buddy and Tiny ride the Dinosaur Train for a playdate with their old friend Petey Peteinosaurus, and learn that the train has added a new Aviary Car, for their various flying passengers. Suddenly, they are joined by a lost bird named Judy Jehelornis, who was displaced by the recent forest fires, and can't remember where her home is. Buddy, Tiny, and Petey act as detectives to figure out from clues where Judy's home is, and the Conductor makes sure she's brought safely home on the train.

Ranger Nat is stuck at the bottom of the crevice with no way to get up, but the problem grows bigger when Mecha Abby gets stuck trying to save him. The Mechas need to find a way to free Abby from the tree so they can lift Nat out. / Zee is ready to launch his rocket into space, but when it takes off, the launchpad breaks and the rocket is launched into the farm instead. The Mechas have to get the rocket back to Zee's launchpad and point it back upwards.
Elmo, Gabrielle, and Ji-Young are at an Outdoor Library. They decide to look for books about things that make them special and share their books with one another a read and share! Elmo finds a picture about a monster who loves puppies, just like Elmo. Gabrielle finds a chapter book about a girl who looks like her and loves science. Ji-Young was able to find a book about playing the guitar, a famous soccer player, and a comic book but she couldn't find just one book with things that made her special. She gets an idea to write her own comic book with help from her friends. It's called: "The Adventures of Ji-Young, the Electric Soccer Rocker" which is about a Korean-American girl who loves playing soccer and guitar. It's a comic book about some of the things that make her special.
Elmo, Abby, and Big Bird are painting pictures in the community garden. They have paintbrushes, smocks to keep them clean, but no paper. This is a problem! They try painting on leaves, but it keeps ripping holes and pinecones are too bumpy. They wonder if there's something stronger than leaves and smoother than pinecones to paint on. What if they paint on rocks? Let's try! It works. They didn't give up and painted on rocks to decorate the garden and share them with the whole community.
