The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center has an exhibition on the history of these games and communities. ICT's Paris Wise has the story and talks to some of today's players. This year marks 100 years since President Calvin Coolidge signed the Indian Citizenship Act into law. At the time, about half the Native American population was already considered citizens of their state or the United States. Last year, Wab Kinew made history after he was elected premier of Manitoba. He became the first Anishinaabe person to ever be premier of a Canadian province.
