Description

Audience: Students; Grades: 4-8; Subject Areas: Science. (2005) Explains the importance of measurement and identifies both standard and metric units of measure. Uses a variety of examples to illustrate the measurement of length, mass, and volume. Demonstrates the use of common measuring instruments such as rulers, balances, and cylinders and explains how to use metric conversion tables. Also describes how a thermometer is used to measure temperature and introduces the Celsius scale. Program concludes with a 10-question video quiz.
