Part 2 visits coral reefs in Indonesia where rising sea temperatures are causing coral bleeching and distruption of the coral reef food chain. Part 3 visits Al Alto, Bolivia, where the melting glacier is depleting drinking water and reducing electricity supply. Part 4 visits the Hooper's Gallery in London where a collection of photographs captures the effects of global warming and climate change in the United Kingdom. Part 5 returns to the Arctic to film melting ice caps, and an Arctic survey team that is preparing to take accurate measurements of the changes that are occuring as a result of global warming. Part 6 visits Bavaria where Germany's last glacier is dwindling. The sequence films attempts to prevent the glacier from melting.

The Galapagos Archipelago is a model of conservation in the Pacific Ocean. Its remarkable diversity of marine species is explained by the upwelling of cold ocean currents. But an increasingly common climatic anomaly occuring far out to sea is killing life. It's El Ni?o. Scientists believe that climate change could cause the frequency and severity of this climatic phenomenon to double threatening native species that are unique in the world.
