We highlight some of the ways that Idahoans are attempting to assist wild animals, including rehabilitating orphaned black bear cubs so they can be transplanted back into the wild; recovering bird species like the California Condor; tracking wolverines and winter recreationists, to see if they can co-exist in high mountain areas; collaring deer in the winter through an elaborate process of helicopters, fences and volunteer deer tacklers; and taking baby cutthroat trout from Henry's Lake to high mountain lakes.
