MOVING TOGETHER explores the intimacy of collaboration between musicians and dancers in flamenco, modern dance and New Orleans second line, both in performance and class environments. Artists consistently collaborate with other disciplines, but what pulls them back to specific people for collaboration? This hour-long performative documentary investigates the relationships between several artists: Michael Wall, a modern dance accompanist and composer, and Jesse Zaritt, a dancer and choreographer; Olivia and Isai Chacon, a flamenco dancer and Spanish guitarist; and New Orleans natives Michelle N. Gibson, a cultural ambassador, choreographer and performer, and Thaddeus Ford, a sixth-generation trumpet player. Through these relationships, viewers witness the power of improvisation and the excitement of spur-of-the-moment creation.
