The Emmy Award-winning "Osiyo, Voices of the Cherokee People" opens the doors to Cherokee Nation's culture, history, traditions and people. The episode features stories of Cherokee Nation citizens, including David Crawler, crafter of traditional turtle shell shakers used in age-old ritual dances; Dr. Adrienne Keene, an academic, author of the popular blog "Cultural Appropriations" and activist bringing Natives issues to the mainstream; and Tim Roberts, a Cherokee businessman who travels the world in seach of opportunities for his tribe. The episode also tells the story of Jennie Ross Cobb, the first Native American woman photographer, and includes a new lesson in the Cherokee language.
