Mexico and many other Latin American countries celebrate Dia de los Muertos, although the celebrations differs from region to region. However, the essence is the same - to honor and celebrate the memories of those who have passed away. Dia de los Muertos can be festive -- it remembers the happy moments lived with loved ones, but it can also be melancholic. The celebration is best-known for featuring Cempasuchil flowers, bread of the dead, candy skulls and, of course, altars. Dia de los Muertos has spread across the globe, and is even eclebrated here in Wisconsin. On this special Dia de los Muertos episode of ADELANTE, we visit several places in Milwaukee that celebrate this tradition, including the Milwaukee Art Museum, Forest Home Cemetery, the United Community Center and Mexican Fiesta.
