Mike Farris is a roots music hero, a Grammy-winning songwriter, and a founding member of The Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies. He comes to WoodSongs with his first album since 2018, the 2025 release The Sound of Muscle Shoals. Farris made the pilgrimage that many soul shakers and stirrers - like the Rolling Stones, Chris Stapelton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and even Cher - have made before him: across the O'Neal Bridge and over the Tennessee River, straight into the creative vortex of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and right up to the door of the legendary Fame Studios. Brenna Macmillan, originally from Winchester, Kentucky, began playing banjo at the age of nine. Brenna performed frequently in the Lexington area, which led to opening for J.D. Crowe and Bobby Osborne. She performs songs from her debut album, DEAR LIFE. WoodSongs Kid: Reese Trimble is a 13-year-old guitarist from Cynthiana, Kentucky.
