Episode 3 follows the first Irish diaspora to Europe in the 1600s as a result of events at home and then later to various destinations in the New World. The numbers of Irish leaving for Europe slowed, and increasingly, the Irish looked westward for new hope. Their destination was the British Colonies of North America.
