David Blom, pastry chef at Chef Allen's Restaurant in North Miami, shows Julia Child how to bake traditional Polish cakes known as babas and savarin. He uses a single recipe to create the spongy dough, which is baked and sweetened further by soaking in a sugar syrup. He then flavors them with a variety of liqueurs, including rum, kirsch, and champagne. The cakes are garnished with fresh fruits, whipped cream, and a homemade custard flavored with vanilla bean.
Chef Michael Lomonaco marinates quail and venison, then creates boar bacon and rabbit sausage to form a mixed game grill. Using indirect heating with the coals on one side, Lomonaco cooks these dishes together outside on the grill. Back in the kitchen, he creates a berry relish and home-fried potatoes.

When Elinor and Ranger Rabbit go help Deputy Mouse clean up his garden, Elinor be-comes fascinated with dandelions. Why does Deputy Mouse want to pull them out? Eli-nor learns that pulling out the weeds from a garden gives the vegetables room to grow, and composting the leftover weeds is good for the soil. But, when Ms. Llama announces that she's out of spinach for her salad party, Elinor learns that dandelions are actually good to eat, and she helps Ms. Llama make a new delicacy - a dandelion salad!
