Samuel Willenberg, now 92 years old, is the last living survivor of the Treblinka death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland, where an estimated 900,000 Jews were murdered in a 13-month period at the height of World War II. Still haunted 70 years later by the horrors he witnessed as a young forced laborer, Samuel has immortalized his harrowing experiences in a series of bronze sculptures of the tragic victims who dwell indelibly in his memory like ghosts. In TREBLINKA'S LAST WITNESS, the sculptures, together with archival footage and photographs from the period, illustrate Samuel's riveting narrative, telling a singularly powerful and personal story of the annihilation of Polish Jewry in the death camps built by the Germans to carry out Hitler's infamous "Final Solution." As a prisoner at Treblinka, he witnessed the death of his two beloved sisters, Itta and Tamara in the gas chambers, among countless others. In his sculptures, the most poignant of these individual tragedies are brought back to life. TREBLINKA'S LAST WITNESS focuses on one man's personal odyssey to reflect the enormity of the genocide inflicted upon Poland's 3.5 million Jews, at the time the world's largest Jewish community, and seven times greater than the Jewish population of pre-war Germany. Samuel Willenberg's story is one of survival against staggering odds and though heart-rending and horrifying, it is ultimately one of triumph.

The coastal city of Pacific Grove in Monterey County, Calif. is known as "Butterfly Town, U.S.A." for the annual migration of the Monarch butterflies. The Monarch Butterfly Grove Sanctuary in the town is one of the oldest Monarch over-wintering sights in California, but in recent years their numbers have been dwindling rapidly. In 2009, the city heavily pruned branches, and gaps in the tree canopy resulted in Monarch numbers dropping from nearly 18,000 to under 800. BUTTERFLY TOWN, USA centers on a community of activists, led by Bob Pacelli, who took action to save the Monarch Butterfly Grove Sanctuary. Pacelli and a group of volunteers planted 40 boxed trees to buffer the impact of the trimming. As a result, Monarch numbers increased by more than 500%. Motivated by their progress, more trees were planted which led to a clash between activists and the city about how best to protect the over-wintering site. BUTTERFLY TOWN, USA focuses on the local habitat protection for the Sanctuary, but also on a larger goal: citizens working together globally to limit habitat loss due to climate change, deforestation and pesticides.

In the 1600s and 1700s, the art of "divine" kings and popes-and of revolutionaries and Reformers-tells the story of a Europe in transition. In the Catholic south, Baroque bubbled over with fanciful decoration and exuberant emotion. In the Protestant north, art was more sober and austere. And in France, the excesses of godlike kings gave way to revolution, Napoleon, and cerebral Neoclassicism.

As Americans, we have one big thing in common: we are stressed. From politics to disease; the economy to world affairs; family obligations to our work. We race around from dawn 'til dusk, never stopping to breathe. We're living as total type 'A' people all the time, even on vacation. In contrast, Italians often resemble what I like to call "type meh." What they can't get done today, they do the next - and the world doesn't end. Their attitude creates a culture of less stress and anxiety. Today we're cooking to bust stress alongside my good friend Carolina, an Italian-born doctor living in the US who knows a thing or two about managing a stressful life with good food and great company. Recipes: Millet Cauliflower Soup with Sauteed Broccoli; Rigatoni with Caramelized Fennel and Garlic; Lemon Spaghetti

Our cameras continue to follow the wildlife dramas in Yellowstone, and Spring brings many new challenges. While the brutal cold temperatures and deep snow of winter have gone, the weather is still erratic and there's the impending danger of the Thaw. When temperatures are high enough to melt the snowpack, millions of tonnes of water will cascade down the mountain, bulldozing everything in its path. Wildlife cameraman Jeff Hogan discovers a nest of Great Gray owls. There are three chicks, but one is a runt, significantly smaller than its siblings and at risk of starvation. And when the worst storms for years hit the Beartooth Mountains, Jeff wonders whether it can hang on. Down on the Snake River the family of beavers is busy making the most of the Spring vegetation. Infra red cameras give Jeff and host Kirk Johnson a secret view of life inside the lodge, as the beavers squabble over food. Kirk also dons a dry suit to head underwater to admire the engineering skills of these rodents. Massive boulders and branches are there to strengthen their dams, but will they be enough to withstand the Thaw. When the torrent of water begins to hit, Kirk joins a hydrologist to help measure the water flow in the rivers and work out how this year's weather has affected the Thaw. And bear expert Casey Anderson follows a mother grizzly and her cubs - and explains that the biggest dangers come not from other predators, but surprisingly from their own kind.

Located between 30 and 40 miles off the North German coast, and about 100 miles north-west of Hamburg, Heligoland (Helgoland in German) is a rocky island in the North Sea and Germany's only non-coastal island. It features vertical cliffs dropping nearly 200 feet into the waters below and is the only such formation in the North Sea. Possession of the island changed hands several times between Germany, Denmark and Great Britain. And many of the possessions of the possessors ended up bombed into the ocean in 1947 as Great Britain used the former enemy territory for target practice in what was the largest non-nuclear explosion in history. But the islanders returned and rebuilt this unique place, even making unique jewelry out of the fragments of its past that wash up on its shores daily. Except for two taxis and a police car, automobiles are verboten. But access to the "upper land" (from the port or "lower land") is made comfortable by an elevator cut into the rock. Or there are between 184 and 260 steps on three different stairways connecting the lower port with the upper grazing parts of the island.
