Recorded in high-definition before a live studio audience in WSRE's Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio. Originally from Baldwin County, Alabama, lead vocalist/songwriter/guitarist ?Gretsch Lyles was heavily influenced by his grandfather's generation of old school country greats such as Marty Robbins, George Jones, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams, Sr. Inspired to write his first song at 16, Lyles formed "The Modern Eldorados" in 1996 as a vehicle for those songs that read like a roadmap tracing the ancestry of American music. With a huge fan following and playing hundreds of shows a year throughout the U.S., "The Modern Eldorados" have developed their unique sound into something that taps deep into the roots of a simpler time; twangy country, western swing and rockabilly.
