"Space Junk" - After learning about space junk, the kids are determined to help do their part to clean up their "space neighborhood." They meet up with Uncle Zucchini, a long-time galaxy garbage man! Using Bortronian technology, they start a cleanup. During the course of the day, our kids learn that recycling is necessary both on Earth and in space! Curriculum: The outer space region around Earth swarms with millions of pieces of man-made space junk that create potential hazards. Objects as small as 4 inches can be seen by radar or optical telescopes on Earth. Cleaning the debris is a challenge. Trips to larger objects could remove them from orbit, but that's expensive. Another proposal is using lasers to provide a path-changing push that wouldn't damage the object. "Scientific Sean" - Jet is fascinated by Earth paper airplanes when he watches Sean casually fold one. Jet suggests that the kids challenge each other to build the plane that will fly the farthest, and still carry the payload of a message. Sean wants to use the Scientific Method to solve the distance/size issues. CURRICULUM: The Scientific Method is a simple set of rules that scientists use the world over, to make sure that they are doing their experiments correctly and in a way that they can repeat. But great science comes from both the application of this simple set of rules AND from imagination and inspiration.

Ontario, Canada's Niagara Peninsula - Toronto And Beyond

Duration: 0:26:46

On his visit to the Canadian province of Ontario, Joseph sets out to prove there's more to the Niagara Peninsula region than world-famous Niagara Falls. To prove his point, he begins his wandering in Toronto, Canada's largest and most cosmopolitan city. He finds that besides being a cultural Mecca for art, theater, film, music, fine dining, as well as one of the greenest cities in North America, it is one of the world's most multicultural cities. Italian, Irish, Indian, Greek, Chinese, Vietnamese -- the ethnic diversity matches the seemingly never-ending list of world-class attractions and activities. From gentle bicycling along Lake Ontario's shore to kayaking to the Toronto Islands or hanging 116 stories above the ground from the edge of the CN Tower, Joseph finds out there's never a dull moment in this young, vibrant and ever-evolving town. And, if that isn't enough, a day excursion to the Niagara Peninsula wine region and the quaint town of Niagara-On-The-Lake keeps Joseph sippin', nibblin', pickin' and hoppin' through the more than 60 wineries that have sprouted up in one of Canada's most scenic regions, at one time described by Winston Churchill as, "the prettiest Sunday drive in North America." During this episode Joseph and his viewers are truly on a movable feast for all the senses.

In the first-ever pledge special on Pressure Points Therapy, Dr. Michael Pinkus (D.C.) empowers viewers to take pain relief into their own hands. Over the years, Dr. Pinkus has found a way to make Eastern medicine practices easy to understand and accessible to the layperson. Comparing Asian acupuncture charts to Western nerve charts of the body, Dr. Pinkus cross referenced which nerve pathways were involved with the ancient acupressure points. Where did the nerve travel to? What area of the body did it control or influence? Which organs were influenced by these points and how did this correspond to the nerve pathways in the body? From these observations and many years of hands-on application as a successful Doctor of Chiropractic, he derived this technique which he coined "Pressure Point Therapy." Pressure Point Therapy With Dr. Michael Pinkus (wt) is a lecture format special that will show viewers how they can apply these techniques in their daily lives.

Keto Diet with Dr Josh Axe

Duration: 1:28:38

Following his very successful first program, Dr. Josh Axe returns to public television in an entertaining new presentation to share cutting-edge health and nutrition advice based on his new book The Keto Diet. In his familiar upbeat style, Dr. Axe puts his own fresh spin on the widely successful and well-researched keto diet. Unlike many fad diets that come and go with very limited rates of long-term success, the ketogenic diet (or "keto diet") has been practiced for more than nine decades and is based upon a solid understanding of physiology and nutrition science. The program showcases delicious food and recipe options. It includes a demonstration of how to make Dr. Axe's preferred keto-friendly, gut-healing smoothie recipe. Dr. Axe clearly outlines the great benefits of the keto diet beyond fasting and weight loss: reduced risk for type 2 diabetes, reduced risk of heart disease, resistance to brain and neurological disorders, and more. The keto diet works for a high percentage of people and it targets several key, underlying causes of weight gain, including hormonal imbalances. This is especially true of insulin resistance coupled with high blood sugar levels. The keto diet also ends the cycle of restricting and binging on empty calories that so many dieters struggle with. That cycle is often a result of hunger, which is not a factor on the keto diet, as the list of approved, satiating foods is long.
