The first circus decided to wait out the winter in Hugo, Oklahoma in 1941. Since then, 22 circuses have called Hugo home. We will join the performers under the big top and hear their stories of growing up in Hugo, life on the road and the thrill of seeing the excitement in children?s eyes. And we will stop by Showman's rest, a cemetery plot for performers with headstones carved with clowns, elephant trainers and snake charmers.
