John Hemingway is the grandson of the Earnest Hemingway and the author of "Strange Tribe, A Family Memoir". The book focuses on the relationship between John's father, Dr. Gregory Hemingway, and his famous father. One could only imagine how different the two might appear, Earnest Hemingway known as macho, hard living man with an appetite for for beautiful women---his son spent his life conflicted and challenged with his own gender. Gregory Hemingway was a cross dresser and on occasion went by the name Gloria. In addition to writing Strange Tribe, John Hemingway has written for numerous national and international publications.
